Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State was struck by a devastating lone accident on Friday, resulting in the loss of four lives and leaving 16 individuals wounded.
The incident took place on the Olooru-New Jebba Road, a route frequented by commuters and travelers.
According to Mr. Frederick Ogidan, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara State, the ill-fated vehicle involved in the accident belonged to CGC Construction Company, a Chinese construction firm.
In a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday, Ogidan attributed the cause of the accident to excessive speeding, emphasizing the need for vigilance on the roads.
Following the incident, the bereaved families of the deceased have claimed the bodies of their loved ones, while the injured victims have been promptly transported to a hospital located in Kambi village within the vicinity.
The tragic accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by reckless driving and underscores the importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
