In a tense operation early Monday, armed soldiers reportedly stormed Okuama community in Ughelli South, Delta State, firing at will. The raid comes weeks after community leaders were arrested, leaving residents in panic.

A local source, speaking to newsmen from hiding, described the situation as dire. “Soldiers came through Okoloba after using drones to survey our area on Sunday,” he revealed.

A video shared with newsmen shows a distressed youth pleading for government intervention. “They’re shooting at everything. Our tents are burning, and I can’t find my child. Why are they doing this to us?” he said, questioning the military’s involvement.

The reason for this latest attack remains unclear.
