The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned it may review results declared under duress in the Edo State governorship election.
In a statement, INEC National Commissioner Mohammed Haruna said: “The Commission reserves the power to review results declared under duress… We will not hesitate to invoke such powers where necessary.”
This comes as different political parties claim victory, with results uploaded to INEC’s Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Collation of results is ongoing in most Local Government Areas, with state-level collation set to commence in Benin City. Accredited party agents, observers, and media have been granted access to collation centres.
