Heavy rainfall in the Ogbomoso area of Oyo State between Wednesday and Thursday morning has caused significant flooding, with several houses inundated. The downpour led to the Ora River overflowing its banks, severely affecting areas like Isale Ora and Aduinin.
Among the properties submerged by the flood were a Cherubim and Seraphim church building and a wooden store selling planks located near the riverbank. Several other structures in the area also sustained damage.
Residents are appealing for urgent assistance, but as of now, the Oyo State government has not responded to the incident. Many locals are left dealing with the aftermath, hoping for relief as they recover from the damage.
