Lagos State Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the kidnapping of an online vendor in the Iyana-Ishashi area. According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the victim was targeted while making a delivery.
The vendor received an order and proceeded to the customer’s house, where a man and a woman forcibly dragged her inside. The suspects reportedly stripped, beat her, and took nude photographs. They demanded a ransom of ₦2 million, threatening to leak the images if the victim did not pay the full amount. Although she managed to pay ₦300,000 on the spot, the suspects threatened to release the pictures unless the balance was paid.
The victim reported the incident, leading to the prompt apprehension of the suspects, who are now in police custody as investigations continue.
