Troops of the Nigerian Army’s Operation Forest Sanity successfully thwarted a terrorist invasion in Saulawa, located in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Friday. During the operation, the soldiers killed two terrorists and recovered a significant cache of weapons and vehicles.

According to the Army, the troops were on a fighting patrol in the Saulawa area, clearing the Maidaro and Ngade Alha villages when they encountered the terrorists. A fierce firefight ensued, resulting in the deaths of two insurgents. The soldiers recovered one AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine loaded with 23 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and 11 motorcycles, one of which was destroyed during the operation.
