Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade, stationed in Jalingo, have successfully recovered 118 cows and apprehended seven suspected terrorists during operations in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Taraba State. Acting Assistant Director of 6 Brigade Army Public Relations, Captain Oni Olubodunde, disclosed on Saturday that the troops acted on credible intelligence, leading to the recovery of weapons and the arrest of the suspects.

In one operation, the troops engaged bandits attacking a Fulani settlement in Katlong Village, forcing them to flee under heavy fire. Among the arrests was Yusuf Musa, found with an AK-47 rifle and 20 rounds of ammunition. The recovered cows were returned to their rightful owners.

In a separate operation on August 6, troops ambushed four suspected bandits on their way to the Mashingi Village market. The suspects were found with a motorcycle, four phones, and N57,000.
