The Nigerian Senate has confirmed 21 nominees as Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). This followed the presentation of the report by the Joint Committee on National Planning, Economic Affairs, and Finance.

Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, representing Kebbi North, presented the report to the Senate, highlighting the nominees for the critical roles in RMAFC, a commission responsible for revenue allocation and fiscal policies in Nigeria.

The confirmed nominees, appointed earlier by President Bola Tinubu, include representatives from various states, such as Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), and others from across the country.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio urged the new commissioners to serve diligently and act as ambassadors for their states and the nation, emphasizing the importance of their upcoming roles in ensuring equitable distribution of national resources.
