In a momentous event at the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman has been re-elected to his position as Speaker for the 10th term.
This decision comes as a result of the assembly’s inauguration on Tuesday.
Representing the Ningi Central Constituency, Suleiman has now been chosen for the second time to lead the assembly, a position he has held for the past four years.
His re-election makes history as he becomes the first individual to serve twice as the Bauchi Assembly Speaker.
Furthermore, the newly elected Deputy Speaker, Jamilu Umaru Dahiru, will be working alongside Suleiman in overseeing the assembly’s affairs over the course of the next four years.
