In a shocking incident, two commercial motorcyclists were gruesomely murdered in Arigidi Akoko, located in Akoko North West council area of Ondo State. The victims were killed at different locations, and their motorcycles were stolen by the perpetrators.

One of the victims, identified as 28-year-old Dada Jatto, was a well-known Okada rider in the community and a father of two. Jatto was reported missing, and his mutilated body was found three days later along the Arigidi-Okeagbe road by a search team organized by local community leaders. His motorcycle and mobile phone were stolen.

The second victim was lured to a hideout between Ikare and Arigidi, where his attackers smashed his head with a sledgehammer. Despite his severe injuries, he managed to describe his attackers before succumbing to his wounds.

Local sources revealed that vigilant security agents apprehended one of the assailants with the stolen motorcycle at Akunu Akoko, a border town with Kogi State.

State Police spokesperson Funmi Odunlami confirmed the murder of one of the victims and stated that investigations into both cases have commenced. Odunlami assured the public that the killers would be identified and brought to justice.
